Common Tern

The common tern is a nimble seabird, renowned for its elegance in flight and exceptional fishing skills. Found near coasts and inland waterways, terns spend much of their life near water, relying on it for food and shelter. Their slender bodies and sharp beaks make them adept hunters, diving into the water with precision to catch small fish.

While terns live on land during breeding seasons, they are most at home near water, where their days are spent fishing and gliding above the waves. Migratory in nature, common terns travel vast distances between their breeding and wintering grounds, showcasing their deep connection to aquatic environments.
